Nampa High Lady Dawgs softball clinic: For girls ages 9-13, Saturday and Nov. 17 in the auxiliary gym, Nampa High. Hitting, catching, throwing, base running session from 1 to 3 p.m., and pitcher and catcher instruction from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Bring tennis shoes, glove and water bottle. Cost is $10 at the door. Free baseball/softball injury prevention clinic : 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at Competitive Edge ? Athletic Performance Center Inc., 280 E. Corporate Dr., Meridian. Athletes will receive a free shoulder assessment and exercises to help improve their shoulder mobility and remain injury free. BASKETBALL

5-on-5 men?s and women?s league: Registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at the City Recreation Office for the Idaho Stampede-Boise Parks & Recreation league. Teams play 10 league games weekday evenings from Nov. 26 to mid-March with a tournament at the end of the season. Games are played at Boise junior high and high schools. Open to players ages 16 and older. Fees are $512 per team plus $27.70 per nonresident player and a $25 USSSA sanctioning fee. Late registration is $35 (Nov. 5-6 if openings are available). RUNNING

Turkey Trot Relay: 9 a.m. Nov. 17 at Ann Morrison Park. Teams of four predict their time to run/walk eight miles (each person completes a two-mile loop). Teams coming closest to their predicted times win turkeys. Six categories of teams include: kids, adults, family and mixed. Cost is $44 per team. Late registration (Nov. 15-16) is $52 at Bandanna Running and Walking, $64 on race day. Applications at local running stores or go to BoiseYStriders.org/TurkeyTrot.asp.

Life Time Turkey Day 5k: 8 a.m. Nov. 22 at Main Street and Capitol Boulevard. Benefit for the Boise Rescue Mission?s City Light Home for Women and Children, as well as the local Special Olympics teams. Cost is $30 general, $10 youth 17 and younger, at turkeyday-5k.com. Race-day registration (6 to 7:45 a.m.) is $40 and $15.

VOLLEYBALL
