Airforce Harlem cruises to victory in 750 at Shelbourne Park

Airforce Harlem did not face any trouble whatsoever in dominating the proceedings in the 750, held at Shelbourne Park on Sunday, July 29th.

The black bitch made a wonderful start to put the rest of the pack under tremendous pressure. An excellent beginning helped her establish her supremacy at the third bend.

After getting in command, the daughter of Bit Chill made no mistake, and retained her advantage till the finishing line. The 6-4 favourite covered the area in 42.24 seconds, bagging the top prize of ?400 by half a length.

Petite Suzy made a wonderful finish, but completely failed to challenge the leading bitch. The dark brindle bitch was lucky to seize the runner-up spot, as Golden Graze was behind just by a short head?s distance.

Golden Graze stepped into this event with a lot of expectations, but failed terribly. The fawn bitch won a similar event at Harold?s Cross in early June.

Perpetuating her fine work, she showed another decent performance at the end of last month, when beating Navarone by a short head?s distance to secure the first prize.

The bitch also ran well on her Shelbourne Park debut earlier this month. In a 550 yards race, she managed to grab the second prize despite suffering plenty of mess in earlier stages of the race.

After so many good shows, the daughter of Crash was expected to fire, but nothing good came from her side. Petite Suzy, on the other hand, unexpectedly secured the second prize, collecting plenty of praise.

Benro Sparky?s misery continued at the top level. Stepping up to the open class put him under a lot of pressure and as a result, the black dog remained unsuccessful in finishing among top-3.

Nevertheless, no one can take the credit away from her, as she beat the likes of White Soks Roks and Totos Star, who were carrying a lot higher odds.

Airforce Harlem?s connections would have been very happy with their bitch?s classy act. After two unlucky rides, she was under a lot of pressure, but responded well on Saturday night.

A comprehensive success would have given her plenty of confidence, and it will be interesting to see how she carries forward the good work to produce more good results in the coming days.
