EDMOND, OKLA. ? We have new information involving an Oklahoma foster family desperate for repairs to their home.

The large family of eight includes seven children. All of them are either adopted or in foster care and suffer from an illness or disability.

For months now, mom, Andre?e Reutlinger, says they?ve been living in dangerous conditions after Sears Carpet and Air Duct Cleaning ruined the family?s carpet.?

?It?s real hard in a normal home with no sickness and no nails to raise a family,? Andre?e said. ?When my kids like to sit down and eat popcorn and watch TV and they have to sit on cold concrete, that hurts me.?

She says days after Sears steam cleaned the carpet, something in the air made her kids sick, even sending her oldest, Natasha, to the emergency room.

?Horrible, Horrible, I thought I was going to lose her,? Andre?e said. ?She?s never been in the ICU.?

Andre?e has since paid to have her house professionally cleaned and wants Sears and its insurer, State Auto, to reimburse her for new carpet and out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the six month ordeal.

Meanwhile our focus turned to re-carpeting the family?s home.?

We got Kyle Brimberry with Brim?s Carpet to cut Andre?e a deal.

We were there as workers performed the install.

?No nails sticking up and it?s warm and the children this morning, all in their pajamas, turned on TV, laid on the floor with blankets and pillows,? Andre?e said. ?I thought now this is home, again.?

We had another surprise for the family, Christmas presents for the children.

Playing Santa was the ladies from Child Share.

The non-profit is an extension of the Oklahoma United Methodist Circle of Care organization and caters to Oklahoma foster families.

Child Share Executive Director, Kena Utter, said, ?When we heard about her situation, there was just no doubt we?d take care of her family.?

The spirit of the season is alive and well.????

Andre?e said, ?It?s so heartwarming to see what they have done for my children and these children, they all come from different places and they are all so deserving.?

We just love when a good plan comes together.

Sears and State Auto believe they?ve been more than fair with a settlement offer, ultimately offering Andre?e a $10,000 check.

At this point Andre?e is willing to accept their offer, although she says it doesn?t even cover new carpet and all her out-of-pocket expenses.

**Child SHARE recruits full-time foster and adoptive parents, backup/respite parents, mentors, babysitters, special friends and financial supporters. Welcome basket volunteers are important team members who are also involved in ministering to hurting children.
