Surprise wedding bells for Sen. Benacquisto

From the News-Press: Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto, R-Fort Myers and and Fort Myers attorney Bruce Strayhorn have tied the knot.

The couple was married Wednesday evening in Palm Beach County, where Benacquisto has lived and where she first entered politics.

Megan Kossove, Benacquisto?s Senate aide, said the couple left for a short honeymoon trip on Thursday. Neither could be reached for comment.

The marriage is the second for Benacquisto, who is serving her first term in the Florida Senate. She has a son and a daughter from her first marriage as well as a stepson.
